  • Superrrr easy way to make my mother @babiedc’s red curry. In a roasting pan, add chicken pieces, coriander powder, cumin, few cardamom pods, few cloves, a cinnamon stick, lots of paprika,
little bit of turmeric, little bit of chili powder, ginger/garlic paste, fried onions and salt. Add a bit of canola oil. Mix it all together. Now add some potatoes cut in pieces (red potatoes are best; don’t use new potatoes). Finally, add water nearly to the top of the mixture (I know it sounds crazy, but it works). Cover with foil and stick the pot in the oven. It takes 1-1.5 hours depending on the chicken pieces. Check and adjust the seasoning. Serve! 🥘

SAVORY SOUNDS

I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT COOK WITHOUT MUSIC AND THESE ARE THE FOOT-STOMPING BEATS THAT KEEP ME MOVING AROUND THE KITCHEN.

That could mean Electronic Dance Music, Hip Hop & R&B or Top 40 Pop (not usually, though). My friends always ask me for my music, so here I’m sharing it with you. Scroll down to listen to my playlists.

I find most of my tunes on Hype Machine. It’s a streaming app that tracks music blogs around the world, featuring remixes that are rare elsewhere. My brother introduced me to it, and I’m addicted. Download it if you can — it’s free!! Meanwhile, click on each of the track lists under each recipe. Here’s a flavor of the type of music you’ll hear. I’ll change this list every month. PS. Let me know if you have some cool tunes to add:
